What is Reiki

Reiki was founded by a Buddhist scholar Mikao Usui in the early 20th Century to reduce stress, promote relaxation and support the body’s natural healing. The direct translation from Japanese is Universal Spiritual Energy (Rei Ki)

As the practitioner I connect to Reiki and facilitate an energy transfer to the recipient. This transfer is actioned by placing my hands lightly on or just above your body.

It is a holistic, non-invasive therapy that complements but does not replace conventional medical care.

The practice is guided by five principles (or ideals) intended to promote daily peace and mental balance.
