What is Reiki
At Soul Atelier, Reiki is approached not as a mystical practice, but as a practical, non-invasive method for deep relaxation and stress management.
Mechanically, Reiki is a form of subtle energy therapy. It is designed to help shift your body out of a state of chronic stress ("fight-or-flight") and into a state of deep rest and recovery ("rest-and-digest"). By encouraging the nervous system to calm down, the body can naturally begin to repair itself and release deeply held physical tension.
What to Expect During a Session
To maintain a professional, comfortable, and predictable environment, every session follows a clear structure:
Fully Clothed: You remain fully clothed throughout the entire appointment, lying comfortably on a padded therapy table.
Light Touch: Gentle, non-invasive, static hand placements are applied to or just above specific anatomical centers (such as the head, shoulders, torso, and feet). There is no physical manipulation or massage.
Deep Rest: Your only job during the session is to close your eyes, breathe, and rest.
