Reiki Healing Services

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Soul Atelier (“the Practitioner”, “I”, “me”) to clients (“you”, “the Client”).
By booking an appointment, you agree to the following terms.
1. Services Provided
I provide Reiki energy healing sessions for relaxation, stress reduction, and emotional wellbeing.
Reiki is a complementary therapy and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare advice. I do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, or interfere with treatment provided by a licensed healthcare professional.
You are responsible for consulting your GP or qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical concerns.
2. Safeguarding & Single-Sex Service Policy
Female-Only (Biological Sex) Policy
This practice operates as a single-sex service for biological females only.
This policy is implemented for legitimate safeguarding, privacy, and safety reasons, as I:
Work alone
Operate from a private treatment setting
Provide hands-on therapy in a one-to-one environment
Under Schedule 3 of the Equality Act 2010, service providers are permitted to offer single-sex services where it is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim, including safeguarding and privacy.
This policy is applied consistently and respectfully.
By booking, you confirm that you are biologically female. I reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking that does not meet this requirement.
Safeguarding & Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the absolute right to refuse or terminate a session where:
I feel unsafe or uncomfortable
There is inappropriate, abusive, or sexualised behaviour
False or misleading information has been provided
The client appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
There are safeguarding concerns
If a session is terminated due to client behaviour or breach of terms, no refund will be provided.
Where necessary, incidents may be reported to appropriate authorities
3. Booking & Deposit Policy
A £30 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
The £30 deposit is strictly non-refundable.
Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance is payable at the appointment.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, at least 24 hours’ notice is required.
Deposits may be transferred to a new appointment date if 24 hours’ notice is given.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the deposit being retained.
Failure to attend (no-show) will result in loss of the deposit.
I reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will be offered an alternative appointment or a refund of your deposit.
5. Health & Medical Information
You must disclose any relevant medical conditions, including but not limited to:
Pregnancy
Heart conditions
Epilepsy
Severe mental health conditions
Recent surgeries
By booking, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
If I believe Reiki is not appropriate for you, I reserve the right to decline treatment.
6. Client Responsibility
You agree:
To arrive on time for your appointment
To behave respectfully at all times
To provide honest and accurate health information
Any inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session without refund.
7. Confidentiality
All personal information and session discussions are treated confidentially and in accordance with UK data protection law.
Information will only be shared where legally required (e.g., safeguarding concerns or risk of harm).
8. Liability Disclaimer
Reiki is a complementary therapy. Results vary between individuals.
By booking, you acknowledge that:
You are participating voluntarily.
You accept full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing.
I am not liable for any perceived outcomes or lack of outcomes from sessions.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
9. Payment Methods
Payment methods accepted: Bank Transfer, Debit or Credit Card.
Full payment must be made at the time of the appointment.
10. Amendments
I reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always apply to bookings.
